Govardhan Hill

Govardhan Hill is a mountainous area in Braj, just 25 kilometres from Mathura. As per some old folklore, Lord Krishna lifted Shri Giriraj Ji Mountain on his left-hand's little finger for 6 days, to protect the Brajwasis from the anger of Devraj Indra. According to the ancient scripture Garga Samhita, Govardhan hill is sinking every day and it will be grounded after the end of Kalyug due to the curse of Pulastya Muni.
